Framework.- Means for connecting together light structural components, such as girders and beams or spars, one of which is formed of two parts which can be elastically strained apart, comprises toggle-members 23, 24, which are pivoted to the booms 11, 12 of a girder, with their pivot point 25 to the right of the dotted line position: when forced to the left of said position, they are forced into engagement with opposed faces of a flange or flanges on the beam 10 by the elasticity of the booms 11, 12. The girder 10 is positioned for engagement with the toggle by a strut 14 which may be of any desired formation. The construction is shown relative to the connection of a wing-rib to a wing-spar of an aeroplane.
