Fastenings for sliding doors.-Locking means for the sliding door 3 of the rotary clothes receptacle or of the stationary casing of a washing machine comprise a band 11 adjustably anchored at one end 12 and at the other end carrying a bracket 19 formed with an eye. An eccentric 17 is actuated by a finger lever 18 pivoted to a stationary bracket 16 to draw the band into close contact with the door.
