Abstract

160,087. White, A. E., (Pittsburg Gage & Supply Co.). April 14, 1920. Washing-machines with enclosed rotary receptacles. -The removable rotarv drum 3 is supported at one end by an open bearing 6 and at the other by the driving-shaft 7 through a clutch device. This consists of a driving-arm 8 on the shaft and a co-operating channel on the drum end plate 12 constituted by a pair of flanges 15 connected by a cross-web 18 and a bearing block 17. The arm terminates in a hook 10 adapted to be seized by a similar hook 23 formed at the end of a spring latch lever 21.
