Abstract

266,249. Eyston, G. E. T. Oct. 22, 1926. Packing. - The end covers of a Roots-blower type of pump used for supercharging an internal-combustion engine are formed with segmental projecting rims 7 which engage corresponding recesses in the main casing to make a spigot joint. In addition a continuous rubber band is inserted in a groove 10 in the end covers to pack against the flanges of the main casing.
