Abstract

266,191. Learmont, R. C. June 21, 1926. Hand-wheels.-The steering-wheel of a motor vehicle, motor boat, &c. is provided with a twisting hand grip or grips operating the throttle., ignition, or both, through lever and linkage connections. The rim 1 of the steering wheel is fitted with rotatable hand-grips 3 connected by links 7 to cranked levers 9 mounted in a casing 12 at the centre of the wheel and operating through ball-and-socket connections 13, a tube 17 and rod 18 axially ananged within the steering pillar and controlling the throttle and ignition.
