Abstract

Registering feed of granular materails.-In apparatus of the type described in Specifications 205,903 and 257,319, for indicating the total feed of granular materials means are provided for indicating and for recording the rate of feed. In the form shown the adjustable spindle f of the usual meter c is provided with a rack j gearing with a pinion i on the spindle of a pointer h cooperating with a dial g graduated in accordance with the rate of flow, the speed of the conveyer a being assumed constant. In a modification a pointer l may be applied to one member of the link motion and a calibrated plate m fixed to the side of the machine. To record the rate a per arm o carried by the shaft f contacts with a record strip n driven by a clockwork or the conveyer.
