Locking nuts.-In a helical spring washer having parallel upper and lower faces, the inner circumference departs from the plane to which the washer is ultimately compressed a distance greater than does the outer circumference. The pitch of the helical line representing the inner circumference will thus be greater than that of the outer circumference. The parallel surfaces are inclined upwardly from the outer to the inner circumference.
