Abstract

265,073. Simmonds, C. S. Aug. 6, 1926. Stationary mixers with rotary stirrers.- A paint &c. mixer comprises a frame 5 on which the mixing elements 16 and motor 11 are mounted, the frame being adjustable on a vertical post 3 provided with adjustable stops 7, 8 and, at will, rotatable about the post; a spring catch 9 for engaging the stop 8 is provided on the frame. The post may be sesecured to a fixture 2, or may be removably supported in a boss in a flat base with tapered edges so as to be movable close to a wall &c. The stirrer comprises a head 16 and crossed rods 18 terminating in a cross member 19 the two end of which are inclined in opposite directions.
