Abstract

264,341. Blyth, L. M. Feb. 15, 1926. No Patent granted (Sealing fee not paid). Rollers or cylinders, hollow.-Water of condensation is automatically discharged once during each revolution of a steam-heated drying-cylinder through a rotary pipe having a radial part 14 and an axial part 4 which communicates through a union 8 with a water outlet pipe 9 having a plug valve 15. An arm 18 secured to the valve is engaged by an abutment 19 on the driving-wheel of the cylinder so as to open the valve against the resistance of a spring. The arrangement is such that the pipe 14 is in the depending position when the valve is opened so that the water is discharged by thepressure of the steam within the cylinder.
