Abstract

263,589. Cooley, H. Nov. 9, 1925. Razors.-In a holder for stropping &c. doubleedged safety razor blades in which the blade is clamped between plates hinged together at X, one plate having studs which pass through holes in the other plate, provision is made whereby the studs are movable, so that the blade is held with one edge protected whilst the other is being stropped and the blade can be moved to position for stropping the previously covered edge without removal from the studs. In one form, Fig. 1, the studs A are slidable in transverse grooves so that they can enter one or other of two sets of holes C in the other plate, the blade being held in corresponding non-central position. In a modification, Fig. 3, the studs are mounted on arms A<2> pivoted at A'.
