Abstract

325,759. Money, G. T. May 15, 1929. Razors, safety.-Safety razor blades for the Gillette type holder are formed with a single edge to facilitate manufacture, packing, handling, and stropping. In one form, the blade is of normal width. In a second form, the distance from the holes to the unsharpened edge is greater than the width of a normal blade and packing is effected by placing a number of blades one on the other with the sharpened edges arranged alternately, the blades being clamped by a staple passing through the outer holes so that the unsharpened edges overhang and protect the sharpened ones. In the form shown in Fig. 3, there is an extended portion which may be used for holding the blade during stropping or the like, flexibility of the blade ensuring the correct stropping angle.
