Distributing matrices. - In machines having matrices guided on wires, the matrices are conveyed from the casting point back to the magazine by a movable frame, which is raised by oscillating arms, and is at the same time rotated through an angle of 180‹ about a vertical axis. A frame c, Fig. 1, is carried by arms e, which can be rocked about pivots cl by means of a rod g and a lever r. A second frame l, Fig. 3, carrying guide wires b, is mounted on vertical pivots within the frame c, and is rotated by bevel gears i, k as the frame c is raised. In the lower position of the frames, the guide wires b are in alignment with the supporting wires a at the setting point, and in the upper position, they are in alignment with wires leading to the magazine.
