A bobbin holder of the characterv described comprising a pair of opposed, complemental brackets having means for rotata bly supporting .he ends of the bobbin, means for mounting one of the brackets on a support, and means for shiftably mounting the other bracket on said one bracket for sliding adjustment toward or away from same, the last named means including a bar mounted on said one bracket and projecting therefrom. and having a longitudinal slot in its proj ectprovided with spaced notches in one side wall, said other bracket being shiftably disposed on said projecting portion of the bar, and pins anchored insaid other bracket and extending therefrom through the slot for travel therein. A bobbin holder of the character described'comprising a pair of opposed complemental brackets having means for rotatably supporting the ends of the bobbin, means for mounting one of the brackets on a support, means for shiftably mounting the other bracket on said one bracket for sliding adjustment toward or away from same, the last nam'e'd'means including a bar mounied on said one bracket and projecting therefrom and, having a longitudinal slot in its proj ecting portion provided with spaced notches in one side wall, said other bracket being shiftably disposed on the projecting portion of the bar, pins rigidly anchored in said other bracket and extending therefrom through the slot for travel therein, a plate mounted on the free end portions of the pins and extending therebetween, akeeper mounted for sliding and rocking movement on the pins, coil springs encircling 1 he pins and each having onefend engaged with the plate and its other end engaged with the keeper in a manner toyieldingly urge said keeper against the bar, and'a lug projecting from the keeper and engageable int-he notches for retaining the said other bracket in adjusted position.
