Abstract

261,257. Jennings, I. C. April 12, 1926. Pumping-apparatus, centrifugal.-A rotary gaspump has a rotor B with peripheral displacement chambers C working in a liquid annulus supplied by liquid forced into the casing A under pressure. In the form shown the pressure is obtained by using a centrifugal pump W which may be mounted on the same shaft as the rotor B. The liquid is supplied to the casing near the gas outlet port P<1> and is withdrawn, for return to the pump W, from a point near the gas inlet port P. All the apparatus can be arranged in one casing to make a self-contained unit.
