Coin action, mechanical-connection and multiple-coin; fitting and securing to walls and other supports.-A releasina mechanism for the door of each book containing compartment of the book-selling case described in the parent Specification, comprises a lever k, k<1>, Fig. 4, which is moved by a rod j acting through a coin m<1>, Fig. 5, and connected to the push piece c, so that a book l on the arm k<1> releases the door bolt. A number of coins m corresponding to the price of the book required are inserted through a slot b and drop down a shoot b<1> to a receptacle formed by an open outer tube and an inner closed tube i. The top coin m<1> projects above the receptacle to connect the rod j and a lever k. The depth of the receptacle is adjusted to take different numbers of coins by sliding and rotating the inner tube in the outer tube until a number indicating the number of coins required is brought in front of a small aperture. A pin s forming a bayonet joint is then passed through registering perforations in the tubes to prevent displacement. The Specification also describes means inaccessible from outside the book case for securing it to a wall. These means comprise two hooks p, Fig. 6, on the wall engaging in slots g in the back of 'the case, and a staple r engaging in a slot v. The staple is engaged by a hook s hinged on the back of the case.
