[Class 18] An apparatus for receiving goods, adapted to be mounted in a wall, partition &c. comprises a semicylindrical casing 1, Figs. 1 and 2, with a door 6 at the front, fixedly mounted in the wall &c. and a rotatable goods-receiving member consisting of a rotatable spindle 7 carrying end discs 9, 10, partitions 20 being so mounted in the discs that they may be rotated to eject the goods on to a platform or conveyer 40 on the inner side of the wall. The goods - receiving member is rotated by actuating a handle 18, Fig. 6, which is connected through gears 15, 15a, 14, Fig. 5, to the spindle 7 of that member, and its rotation causes a roller 23 to ride up a cam 26, and thus to rotate a spindle 21 on which a partition 20 is mounted so that at the appropriate position partition 20 sweeps the goods on to member 40, the partition being returned by a spring 25. Closing door 6 engages spring latches 35, and an arm 28 on the pintle 27 of the door contacts an arm 29 of a pivoted lever 31 and thus disengages teeth 33 carried by this lever from gearwheel 15 which can then rotate. The door is held closed by a hand latch 42, 43 and by the engagement with hooks 6a, which pass into apertures in the fixed casing 1, of rims extending from discs 9, 10. On completion of a half turn of the goods-receiving member, pins 39 on discs 9, 10 engage the spring latches 35 and unlatch them ; simultaneously apertures in the rims on discs 9, 10 come into register with hooks 6a so that when latch 42 is unfastened spring 32 opens door 6 and engages teeth 33 with cog-wheel 15 and prevents its rotation.
