100031 Knee joints have the main functions of bearing load, transmitting load and participating in exercise to provide couple for shank movement, and can also perform slight grinding and rotating when the knees are bent. Knee joints are the biggest hinge joints of the whole body and mainly used for flexion and extension. However, due to the fact that the knee joints are located at the middle parts of the lower-limbs and located between the two biggest lever arms of the body for bearing larger force, which likely causes sprains and fractures. Especially in athletic activities, injuries to the ligaments and meniscus are the most common.
100041 For a patient with knee joint injuries, there needs auxiliary rehabilitation training besides medicine and operative treatment, so as to help knee joint function recovery of the patient. Currently, knee joint rehabilitation-training equipment is mainly used for training a single joint clinically. For a patient with serious knee joint injuries, after the knee joints drive the shanks to swing forwards during rehabilitation training, the difficulty is large when the knee joints drive the shanks to be retracted towards the inner side of the body, due to the defects of muscle strength and knee joint activity. Thus, synchronous rehabilitation training of the two knees of the patient is difficult to achieve autonomously.
