Abstract

260,950. Fleming, J. G. Nov. 9, 1925 [Convention date]. Stocking - suspender grips.-In a loose &c. suspender of the button and loop type the shank 10 of the button, and the distance between the bead 11 and base 7 are of such dimensions that the fabric is not gripped between the button and the edges or surface of the loop member 8, with a view to avoiding tearing of the fabric, which is free to make pivotal movement on the button. The button is secured to a flexible tab 14 which is passed through arcuate slots in the base 7 and held by stitching &c. as shown. The length of the tab is such as to prevent the button from reaching the end of the slot in member 8. The head of the button may be partly or wholly covered with rubber &c. A cross-bar 18 is secured in member 8 by means of lugs bent round the limbs of the loop, one lug 20 being elongated so as to overlie the other and terminate on the upper surface of the loop, as shown, to avoid edges likely to tear the hose &c.
