[Class 44] A garment supporter has a holder part A adapted to swing through a yoke part B while the fabric F is wrapped round the head piece D. This part D is of flexible material and is supported by side members 61, the ends of which are free to turn in loops 62 at the ends of the arms 60 of the yoke B, Fig. 5. After the material is wrapped round the head piece D, the part A is passed completely through the yoke and brought into extended alignment with it. In the modification shown in Figs. 8, 10 the yoke part B is formed of wire bent to form the side members 60 the ends of which have sockets 66 with a marginal lip 69 to receive the flanges 68 on the arms 61 of the part A. In another modification the arms 61 are formed of cord and have at their ends metallic members with hemi-spherical heads to fit the sockets on the yoke pieces. In another modification, shown in Fig. 23, the yoke members 60 are joined at their lower ends by a bar 80, upon which rests an encircling strip 81 joining the side members 61 of the part A. The lower parts of the members 61 are covered with a rubber guard which may be vulcanized thereon. The side members 61 may also be provided with spring tongues to cause the part A to snap into its extreme position. A number of other modifications are described in the Specification.
