Abstract
260,451. Gordon. A. Jan. 11, 1926. Drawings to Specification. Zinc, lead, and chlorine, obtaining.-Metallic residues containing precious metals are fused with zinc or lead and the alloy is treated with hydrochloric acid. The solution is treated to obtain a pure solution of zinc or lead chloride which is electrolyzed; the zinc or lead deposited is used to treat further quantities of the residue and the chlorine liberated is used for the separation of the precious metals from the residue after the acid treatment.
