Abstract

Refrigerating, absorption, apparatus for. -A rectifier 2 arranged vertically above the generator - absorber 1 and connected with the condenser 5 of a valveless apparatus working on the reversing system is provided with a return liquor pipe 4 passing through the vapour expulsion pipe 3 to the bottom of the generator - absorber, there being a separate vapour return pipe 7 from the evaporator 6. The rectifier is in the form of a coil and is preferably arranged, with the condenser 5 and the return vapour pipe 7, in a casing 8 cooled by circulating-water. The condenser is formed as a sinuous pipe whereby condensed refrigerant accumulating at the bends is delivered to the evaporator in successive spurts. A thermostatic control of the heating and cooling means of the generator-absorber may be employed, the cooling-medium therefor being obtained from the casing 8 or otherwise.
