Indicators, electric. -In an electrical indicating instrument for indicating the level of a liquid, the pointer is mounted on an arcuate or circular armature which is rotated by a pair of solenoids. The armature is provided with a local enlargement or a zone oi reduced reluctance which render the movements of the armature proportional to the variations in strength of the field of the solenoids. The field variations are produced by an adjustable contact 31 co-operating with a resistance 30. The contact 31 is rotatably mounted within a ring upon which the resistance is wound and is controlled by a float 61 through the intermediary of bevel gears 63, 64.
