Abstract

258,358. Beachim, H. J. June 20, 1925. Spokes, securing and adjusting. - A wheel is assembled by screwing the inner ends B of the spokes E into holes in the hub A, the spokes being then screwed outwards so that the tangs C are forced into holes D in the rim. The outer ends of the spokes are formed with shoulders butted against the inner periphery of the rim, and the latter may be adapted to carry a rubber tyre. The spokes may be locked by set-screws S threaded through the rim to engage the tangs C.
