258,282. Plomp, H. Sept. 11, 1926. Stud-and-slot fastenings.-An attaching device, particularly applicable for attaching antisplash flaps to vehicle wheels, comprises one or more corrugated tongues engaging in a casing and clamped therein. In the example illustrated. annular flaps 6 are carried by the radial fingers 5 of annular members 4 provided with corrugated tongues 9, 10 entering holes in the casings 7 attached to the spokes 3 and engaging each other or the corrugated web 8, within the casing. The tongues are clamped in engaging position by eccentric cylinders 13 turned by square keys. When only one member such as 4 is to be secured the lower wall 15 of the casing is corrugated to fit the tongue, Fig. 3.
