[Class 144 (i).] A device for locking a hub cap 2 in a protecting box 3 comprises a spring 1 having one or more protuberances, such as 4, 5, which project through slots 6, 7 in the cap and engage a part 3a of the box. The amount h by which the protuberances project beyond the inner surface of the part 3a is less than the radius of the spring cross section so as to enable the protuberances to enter the slots on removal of the cap.
