Abstract

257,858. Consolidated Pneumatic Tool Co., Ltd., and Keith, V. J. April 27, 1926. Terminals.-In a holder for arc welding electrodes the electrode 8 is gripped by a flexible loop 6 of conducting material connected to means for tightening the loop to grip the electrode. The loop may be made of metal gauze, laminated metal strips or a bunch of metal wires. The ends of the loon are secured in a screw plunger 2 engaging a clamping head 1 and operated by a screw 3. The head is fitted with a metal or insulating shield 18 and is pivoted to an arm 10 fitted with a socket 14 to which the cable is secured. An insulating hand grip 16 and a guard 19 are secured to the arm by a screw 18.
