255,534. Quain, J. R. April 24, 1925. Arc lamps.-Several arcs in series are obtained by interposing an electrode or electrodes between two electrodes to which the supply conductors are connected. The additional electrode D, Fig. 1, may be at right angles to the terminal electrodes A, or may be in line therewith. Fig. 3 shows two series of electrodes in parallel. The electrodes may be adjusted either simultaneously or independently, by hand or automatically. Reference has ben directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 15369/99, 22848/00, 676/15, and 216,722.
