The web 1 is bored to form a shrink fit upon the crank pin 2 and the journal or shaft portion 3, the shaft boring being enlarged by a supplementary boring forming a segmental cavity gauged to shrink size for a key 4 seating upon a flat or equivalent complementary surface formed on the shaft.
