Abstract

Latches, sliding; bolts. - Lock or latch bolts are made in two parts, the tail E being formed of sheet metal and provided with a vertical slot e to receive the rib c on the head A, made by cutting off lengths of an extruded or rolled metal bar. The rib c is then riveted to secure the head to the shank. The rib is of the same length as the bolt head.
