Abstract

405,922. Stair rods. AINSLEY, H., Holmrook, Southwick Road, Blackheath, Staffordshire. Sept. 28, 1933, No. 26709. [Class 52 (v).] A stair rod of the type having at the rear cut-away parts 3 each bridged by a plate 5 having a longitudinal slot 6 to co-operate with a headed pin or screw fixed to the stairs, has the plate fixed over a portion only of the recess 3 the slot being open at the end adjacent the non- covered portion of the recess and provided with an enlarged hole 8 at the closed end into which the screw head enters to lock the rod in place when it has been slid longitudinally. The plate 5 is of angle section with the slot 6 cut in its apex. The holes 8 are countersunk internally.
