Abstract

257,278. Kalker Maschinenfabrik Akt.-Ges. Aug. 20, 1925, [Convention date]. Shearing.-A machine for cutting continuously fed rolled bars into lengths has spiral cutters 3, 4 rotated from a shaft S. The upper cutter 3 is held in a stationary bearing, and the cutter 4 is mounted in a bearing reciprocated through crank gearing 9 from the shaft ported on a table 21 rest- S. The bars are suping on rollers 18 attached to resiliently mounted bolts 17. During cutting the cutters rotate and the lower cutter moves towards the cutter 3. After the cutting operation the table 21 and the cutter are lowered.
