Driving, suspending, and balancing.-In centrifugal machine driving arrangements of the kind described in the parent Specification, lubrication is effected by oil flowing from a reservoir p through a pipe o to the spring bearing h on the shaft. When the machine is stationary the oil flows down the spindle f to the ball-end i and the bearings u, e at the bottom of the apparatus. When the machine is running, the oil is thrown out by centrifugal force and after leaving the bearing h passes through the bearing d and a passage t in the casing to the bearings u, e. An overflow v ensures sufficient oil for the lower bearings without permitting any to reach the motor,
