Abstract
255,598. Edmunds, W. P. June 2, 1925. Pulley - blocks and frames.-In a side plate a for sash &c. pulleys, the metal adjacent to a stamped or pressed integral bush c forming a bearing for the spindle of the sheave is displaced to one side of the plane of the plate so that the centre of the length of the bush is substantially in that plane. The dies between which the bearing is formed are shown in Figs. 5 and 6. The upper die comprises a plunger e with a cylindrical recess f in its lower face of a diameter equal to the external diameter of the finished bush c. The recess f is surrounded by a rib g. The lower die comprises a body h having a cylindrical recess in its upper face inthe centre of which is secured a pin j of the same diameter as the bush and having an inclined shoulder k. An annular sleeve l is slidably mounted on the pin j and rests on pins m which are slidably mounted in the body h and bear against a spring-pressed plate n free to slide on studs o.
