Abstract

255,266. Marks, E. C. R., (Monarch Electric Saw Co.). Sept. 18, 1925. Circular saw machines. - A circular saw particularly designed for sawing bones is driven by an electromotor 25 which acts as a counterweight and normally brings the saw into the position shown, wherein the starting switch 44 is opened by the action of a link 53. On pulling the saw down into a horizontal position about the pivots 26 the switch is closed. The depending arms 22 which carry the pivots 26 are attached to a carriage which runs by means of rollers 21 on a cross shaft 20, movable to and fro by means of rollers 16 on tracks 14. Dust guards 40, 41 are provided.
