Abstract

253,835. McIntyre, J. Feb. 27, 1926. Stationary mixers with rotary stirrers.-In a machine for grinding, refining and mixing cocoa beans, chocolate, chemicals, &c., in which the material is rubbed against the wall of a container by rods fixed to flexible blades, the rods are spaced apart and holes or slots are cut in the blade in the spaces between the rods. As shown, the flexible blade A carrying rods D is attached to another flexible blade- B so that the rods are arranged equidistant on either side of the longitudinal centre line of the studs C which hold the blades A, B together. The rods may be mounted on the blade A and locked' to it as described in Specification 250,859, and are kept apart by square studs E or other means. Holes are provided in the blade A in the spaces between the rods. As the blades rotate, the material is forced between the rod blade A and the' rocker blade B and through the holes F to the rods D. Specification 212,490 is referred to.
