Abstract

253,577. Rodda, H. W. March 13, 1925. Piston apparatus for discharging receptacles. - A reservoir shaving-brush or other container for plastic, powdered or semiliquid substances comprises a casing A having a cylindrical end otherwise having a cross-section such as prevents rotation of the piston F, a cap D carrying a screw-threaded spindle E, and coincident grooves on the cap and container holding a resilient ring A' so that the cap is forced off the end of the container when the piston reaches its bottom. The end A<3> of the container may be chamfered. The Provisional Specification describes the application of the invention to a mustard pot having a vertical barrel mounted on a support so that the barrel, which has a lateral discharge opening, may overlap a plate or dish. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 26620/05, [Class 11, Artists' instruments &c.] ; 15414/11; and 23657/13, [Classs 66, Hollow-ware].
