Abstract

Lantern screens.-In an anti-glare device for vehicle lamps comprising a multi-bladed fan mounted on a central pivot CD at the front of the lamp and adapted to be rotated by wind pressure, the blades A are tapered to a convenient length along the supporting wires G or otherwise arranged to extend radially inwards only such a distance as to leave a substantially unobstructed beam of light in the centre. The blades may be provided with covered or uncovered perforations, and the fan may be attached to the rim of the lamp by means of a wire spider. Alternatively, the central pivot may be mounted in a hole in the front glass E, the fan being on the outside or the inside, in which latter case the glass is provided with a number of ventilation holes.
