249,665. Igranic Electric Co., Ltd., (Cutler-Hammer Manufacturing Co.). March 17, 1925. Switching systems.-An electric motor M or other device is controlled by a switch 5, which is opened after a predetermined time by a thermoresponsive element 16. Momentary closure of a push 12 causes energization of the switch coil 11 in series with a resistance 13 from alternating current mains L1, L2, whereupon the switch closes, completing the motor circuit at contact 9, and a holding circuit at contact 10. Coil 14 is inductively energized from coil 11 and supplies a heater of the element 16, which after a time interval shorts the coil 11, causing the switch to open and the circuit to return to the initial condition.
