Open tray burners; wick burners, blue flame. -In an oil stove comprising an annular burner cup a containing an asbestos or like ring a<1> and carrying two perforated cylinders c, d, the cylinder c carries a frusto-conical hood g having a central opening g<1> of smaller diameter than a funnel member f fitted inside the inner cylinder d so that overflowing water from the vessel being heated is prevented from reaching the combustion space between the cylinders. The funnel member is provided with a drain tube f<2>, which is removably attached to the burner cup by a pin f<4>. The cylinder c is provided with an outer cylindrical casing h having a handle h<2> by which the cylinder may be removed for igniting the burner.
