Twins Feeder -Description 1
This invention relates to a device for bottle feeding twins at the same time.
When trying to bottle feed twins it is very difficult to do at the same time (one bottle in each hand) and babies can become distressed and upset especially during the first few months.
* One of the most common questions on the internet is "What is the easiest way of feed ing twins" * The first few months are the hardest when bottle feeding twins as this is the time they need most comfort and support -and the most feeds.
In fact there are many articles on the internet that state how difficult it is to feed two babies at the same time. This is because: * Controlling bottles in babies mouths at the same time with no hands free is difficult and messy * Babies get distressed and most of the time can't be fed at the same time You can find devices that help on the internet that allow babies to feed themselves but these devices can not be used from birth and ifs not as personal as feeding the twins yourself.
To overcome this problem this invention is a device that: * Allows twins from birth to be bottle fed at the same time.
* A product that leaves one hand free so that babies can be comforted whilst being fed (by feeding them either in a cot or baby bouncer) * A product that allows the bottles to be directed into the babies mouths.
The invention is made up of three main components: -The Handle * -TheArm -The Bottle Holders
Twins Feeder -Description 2
The Handle: The handle is at the top of the invention and may move around 360 degrees and can lock into place.
The handle will be static when locked into place.
The handle may be able to change angle and preferably be detachable meaning that device can he held by the arm.
The arm: The arm can either: -When attached to the handle form a T shape -When attached to the handle form a Y shape The arm will be able to can retract and detract (telescopic) and be adjusted in terms of position relative to the handle and to each other.
The arm can lock into any position.
At the end of each arm you will find the baby bottle holders.
The baby bottle holders: The baby bottle holders allow any size bottle to he placed in as they are made from a flexible plastic/rubber/foam that allows any size bottles to be placed in.
The baby bottle holders have velrco securing tabs The baby bottle holders are shaped as a semi circle and can face up or down.
The baby bottle holders are attached to the arm allowing two!degrees of freedom' movement using the following options: -Aballjoint -Auniversaljoint -Two simple pivots working at 90 degrees to each other
Twins Feeder -Description 3
Baby friendly: As the product is holding baby bottles it is important that it is dishwasher friendly, flexible and easy to clean.
This is why it will be made of baby friendly products that fit in with most baby products -plastic, rubber or foam.
The drawing enclosed show the following detail -the drawing is entitled Diagram 1.0 (H) H shows the handle.
(H) E shows were the arms can retract and detract (telescopic) this also shows the arms forming a Y shape.
(S) S shows the direction that the holders can swivel in and allow adjustment in two degrees of freedom (pitch, yaw).
(13) B shows the bottle holders and how the bottles will fit in.
(1-IA) HA shows were the handle can change angle.
(M) M shows were the joint is that allows the bottle holders to move in two degrees of freedom (pitch, yaw) Diagram 2.0 shows rendered images of the twins' feeder.
