245,736. Trierer Walzwerk Akt.-Ges. Jan. 9, 1925, [Convention date]. Compound forms; sheets; bars.-Iron or steel sheets or bands 1 are plated with aluminium 2 by roughening both the iron and aluminium sheets, e.g. by sandblast, and passing the sheets with their rough surfaces 1<a> and 2<a> in contact through a cold rolling mill 3, 4. During rolling a temperature of 100‹ C. caused by rolling only is not exceeded. Plated metal strips may be composed of a number of layers.
