Phosphoric anhydride. - The air used in the production of phosphorus pentoxide by burning phosphorus or gases containing phosphorus is dried before use by means of the phosphorus pentoxide or the strong phosphoric acid produced in the process, and the heat of the combustion is utilized for raising steam or for other purposes.
