Abstract
A clip for holding underwear straps in a non-conventional position comprises an upper and lower section connected via a central bend section which enables the upper section to be substantially parallel to the lower section with a gap therebetween. There is a stopper E located on the underside of the upper section towards the open end of the upper section. The under side of the upper section and the upper side of the lower section have teeth F which slant towards the central bend section. The clip may be made of plastic. The lower section may be wider than the upper section. There may be four teeth on the upper section and five teeth on the lower section. The underside of the lower section may have a gripping layer D. The clip may also have a hoop G attached to the outside of the central bend through which and to which jewellery or accessories can be attached.
Description

1 2435402 Clothes Grip This invention is a way of hiding and holding in
a non conventional position underwear straps when wearing clothes that do not cover the whole shoulder or back, allowing your underwear to still provide support.

Some clothes show more of the shoulder or back than others, and in turn will show underwear straps. If you try to hide the strap by pushing it towards the edge of the shoulder or further down the back, it can cause the underwear strap to slip down the arm or fall to the waist, and therefore render the underwear useless.

To overcome this problem, the invention will grip the underwear straps in a non conventional position, which in turn will keep the underwear straps from falling down the arm and back or having them on show. The invention can also be used by holding the clothes together with the underwear straps to stop the top from moving as well.

A stopper located at the upper open end of the invention will assist in the positioning of the device and aid opening the invention to place over the straps or clothing/straps.

The teeth on the inside of the invention allows you to push the invention easily over the underwear straps, but help prevent the straps from coming free unless the invention is lifted open.

A layer of cushioning grip is attached to the underside of the device, to stop the underwear straps from moving and provide cushioning against the skin.

An example of the invention will now be described by referring to the accompanying drawings: Figure 1 shows the visible underwear straps on shoulders and back Figure 2 shows the shoulder straps being moved to a non conventional position and placing the invention over the straps to hold them in the new position.

Figure 3 shows how the clothes appear once Figure 2 is completed and shows the use of the invention to help hide the underwear straps on the back.

Figure 4 shows a side profile of the invention Figure 5 shows how flexibile the invention can be in order to place over the straps Figure 6 shows the invention with additional feature for jewellery accessory Figure 7 shows the invention used from shoulder to shoulder with jewellery accessory attached Figure 1 shows what happens if an article of clothing does not cover your underwear, you are left with unsightly straps A. The invention B, can be used to hide and keep in place the underwear straps, as shown in Figure 2, by moving the straps to a non-conventional position and placing the invention over the straps. Figure 3 shows how this will help the appearance of off the shoulder garments.

The invention as shown in Figure 4 and 5, will be flexible in order to lift open to place over clothes/straps C, with a grip layer D, to prevent movement and provide cushioning against the skin. Stopper E, will assist in positioning the invention and also opening the invention to place over clothes/straps and the teeth F will help keep the straps inside the invention and prevent movement.

Figure 6 shows the invention with an additional feature G, for jewellery accessories. In Figure 7 you can see invention B, using feature G to feed though chains or necklaces H, to create a front and back fashion accessory.

Claims (1)
-
Claims Claims 1. A plastic clip for holding underwear straps in anon-conventional position comprises an upper section and a lower section with a central bend section creating a gap between the upper and lower sections and holds all three sections together with the upper section attached to one side of the central bend section and the and lower section which is a third wider than the upper section attached to the other side of the central bend section making the upper and lower sections lay parallel with each other with a gap in between the upper and lower sections but gradually the gap between the upper and lower sections gets smaller as they get to the opposite ends of the upper and lower sections that are not attached to the central bend and then on the underside of the upper section there is a rounded stopper centrally positioned in the width of the underside of the upper section close to the open end of the length of the upper section and then from where the stopper finishes looking towards the central bend there are four teeth that are evenly spaced along the underside of the upper section that slant towards the central bend and then again on the upper side of the lower section there are five teeth evenly spaced from open end of the upper side of the lower section to the central bend slanting towards the central bend and on the underside of the lower section a gripping layer covering the whole underside of the lower section of the plastic clip.

2. A device according to Claim 1 with additional feature to enable jewellery accessories to be attached comprises a hoop attached to the outer side of the central bend.

3.
