242,423. Dubilier Condenser Co. (1921), Ltd., (Deventer, H. R. Van). Oct. 27, 1924. Condensers.-In a condenser of the kind comprising a stack built up of alternate conducting and insulating sheets, the conducting sheets are arranged in T-formation, Fig. 2, the sheets 4 of one set projecting beyond the sheets 3 of the other set on both sides, while the sheets 3 project beyond one sheet 4 at one side only. The stack may be clamped between a base plate 1, Fig. 1, and a cover plate 2 by means of a pair of clips 7 engaging opposite sides of the stack and connected to the sheets 4, and a clip 6 engaging one end of the stack and connected to the sheets 3. In a modification the base plate is formed with an extension carrying the third clip connected to one sheet 3. In another modification, a separate terminal plate, to which the sheets 3 are connected, is provided above the base plate. The side clips 7 may be replaced by a band clamp encircling the condenser. In the construction shown in Fig. 9, the whole body of the condenser is embraced by the clamp 22, the meeting ends of the clamp being provided with interlocking projections and recesses 25, 26. The clamp is provided with a terminal 24 for the sheets 4, the sheets 3 being connected to a separate plate having a terminal 20.
