Abstract

An exercise device comprises a base having two pedals. Springs are fitted between the base and the pedals to provide resistance to the pedals. The base and pedal are joined at one end by a hinge. The base may be divided in two with a hinge, so that it may be folded and slots in the base form a handle. The device may be used while sitting or travelling to prevent Deep Vein Thrombosis or to improve circulation.

Description

1. This invention is a deep vein exerciser. A leg and foot exerciser,
which includes foot pedals, which can be used whilst sitting.
2. This exerciser, by using its pedal action by movement up and down helps prevent: Deep vein thrombosis Blood clotting v anous vems Helps with Blood circulation and also acts as a normal exerciser to tone your calves and thigh muscles.
3. When travelling by aeroplane on long haul flights, by using the foot exerciser for short periods of time, will help stop deep vein thrombosis as the exerciser keeps the blood pumping.
4. This invention provides a method for exercising) It has two foot pedals fitted to a based with two hinges which lay on top of two springs. The base folds in two and has Gut out holes in base. When folded these act as handles.
5. The base and pedals are made from polypropylene. Has two built in Hinges which secure the two pedals. The pedals lay on top of two individual springs, when compressed they act as an exerciser.
6. Attached are the detail drawings of the leg and foot exerciser as described above; l lo.

Claims (10)

1. A leg and foot exerciser with two (2) separate pedals with separate springs which folds i n half to make a handle and can have the pedals fixed in the depressed position.
2. A leg and foot exerciser as *n claim one (1) where the foot pedals are attached by push fit hinges using a slot *n the base with larger slot on rear and a triangular tag on a strip on the bottom of the pedals.
3. The spring as in cla*m one ( I) is mounted *n angled depression *n the base and straight depressions in the pedals.
4. The spring as *n claim one (1) or claim three (3) is held in place by a woe fixed into the pedal pulled through the spring with a T bar that is passed through a hole in the base and then straightened across the hole in a slot with part of the side cut away.
5. The wire as in claim one (1) or claim three (3) that holds the spring can be pulled across to a second slot with part of the side cut away in the base and pushed *n, the woe also lays in a slot *n the base, this secures the pedal in the depressed position.
6. The base as in claim one (1) or claim five (5) folds in half along the centre using a liv*ng h*nge which is moulded *n position.
7. There are two (2) rounded slots along the side of the living hinge as *n claim six (6) that come together when folded to make the handle as in claim one (1).
8. There are slots across the back of the base as in claim four (4) that lighten the base and are in the opposite direction to the pedals to give grip when *n use.
9. There are slots *n the back of the pedals also to lighten them.
10. All the upper edges of the base and pedals are radiuses.
