Abstract
240,453. International General Electric Co., Inc., (Assignees of Allgemeine Elektricitõts Ges.). Sept. 26, 1924, [Convention date]. Protective arrangements. - To avoid heavy reverse current in the event of " back ignition " in a rectifier such as a connected to busbars fed by other rectifiers such as b, each rectifier is provided with a high speed reverse current circuit breaker e on the direct current side in addition to an ordinary excess current automatic device d. The reverse current switch may be arranged art any point between the rectifier and bus-bars or between bus-bar sections, and may be a.rranged either to break the circuit completely or to switch in a high ohmic resistance f.
