Abstract
239,907. Gutteridge, S. A., and Amalgamated Dental Co., Ltd., (formerly Ash, Sons, & Co., Ltd., C.). June 11, 1924. Patent abandoned on opposition. Dental flasks.-Consists in providing two-part dental naske with inlet and outlet openings, furnished with closures, whereby each flask may be charged under pressure; also in a dental flask having in one face inlet and outlet openings controlled by one or more closure members. As shown, a two-part flask 10, 11 furnished with a sliding base 13 is provided in the rear wall with a charging inlet 16 and a pair of outlets 17 disposed one on each side thereof. A slide 18 furnished with apertures 20, 21 to register with the openings 16, 17 is, after charging, moved laterally by a tool 22, Fig. 4, to close the openings. The tool 22 is furnished with a pair of pins, one 23 pivoting in a slot 25 and the other 24 engaging the end of the slide. The total outlet opening is proportioned to the inlet opening to impose the requisite pressure. The slide 18 may be replaced by more than one slide, and, as applied to a two-part flask, the inlet and cutlet openings may be disposed on different faces. Sprues of wax string are employed in waxing up the mould. Specifications 165,879 and 199,746 are referred to.
