Abstract

239,189. Farbwerke vorm. Meister, Lucius, & Br³ning. Aug. 28, 1924, [Convention date]. Purifiers; purifier waste, revivifying. - In apparatus such as that described in Specifications 187,223 and 191,005, in which absorptive material, such as charcoal, is contained in several chambers that are rotated relatively to gas supply pipes, all the ports for admission and exhaust of gas are arranged in a single surface which constitutes a sliding surface for the chambers. The absorptive material is contained in an annular cage g of wire gauze placed in an annular vessel c, both the cage and vessel being subdivided into separate chambers by means of partitions d, d<1>, h. The vessel c with the cage g is rotatably mounted on a box f provided with ports b on its upper surface. The bottom of the vessel c slides on the upper surface of the box, and is formed with ports a adjacent the partitions d, d'. The box f is divided into compartments for the admission and exhaust of different gases and vapours through openings k - - p as described in Specification 187,223.
