Abstract

334,200. Hocking, H. May 24, 1929. Steam separators.- In apparatus of the kind in which the steam &c. is directed to and fro around concentric cylinders 5, 7 with oppositely directed openings 6, 8, the cylinders are carried by a throat piece or conduit 10 which is supported from a cover 2 on the casing 1 so that the cylinders may be removed with the cover. The opening 6 in the inner cylinder consists of a number of narrow slits extending about half-way around the cylinder, and the opening 8 in the outer cylinder extends the whole length of the cylinder and is formed with a gutter 9 along each of its edges. The plate 12 closing the bottom of the inner cylinder may be perforated.
