Ink.-Printing-ink which is easily removable from the paper is prepared by mixing a manganese printing-ink with a fat-soluble blue dye. Preferably, a dye, which is removable together with the manganese compound, by a sulphite or sulphurous acid, is used, suitable dyes being indophenol, indo-aniline, or indamine dyestuffs. In examples, stated proportions of pyrolusite, cumarone resin, anthracene oil, or mineral oil, and a fat-soluble blue dye are mixed together. For deeper colours, manganese pigment is impregnated with iron tannate, and stirred with a varnish in the usual way; a fat-soluble blue dye may also be added.
